This position is for someone interested in growing and remaining with the company, enjoys challenges, is energetic and positive, and has excellent communications skills.
THIS POSITION WILL HAVE THE OPTION FOR FULL-TIME WORK True Treats was founded by bestselling author and candy historian Susan Benjamin.
Our shop specializes in candy, tea, toys, and treats from early history through the 1970s.
Our customers are happy to come to our store and we delight in welcoming them, telling them about our products, and being part of the True Treats family.
True Treats is a highly collaborative organization.
As part of our team, you will provide input into the business, work closely with others, and sample and recommend products.
You must have experience working with the public.
In addition, you should have a:
- Enthusiastic, positive attitude.
- Desire to learn and share the history and significance of the products we offer.
- Neat, professional appearance.
Shopkeepers dress in business casual attire.
- Goal-driven and dependable work style.
- Well-spoken and respectful manner with customers, coworkers, and vendors.
Responsibilities include:
- Interacting and engaging with customers from local residents to tourists from around the world.
- Keeping workspace clean and organized.
Daily/weekly cleaning and organization goals.
- Cashier duties - working with a POS system, handling customer transactions, occasional bank runs.
Experience with handling money strongly preferred.
- Keeping displays stocked and neat.
- Follow instructions/processes outlined by management.
Report any issues to management.
After a trial period, you can shift to a full-time position, will receive a pay increase and, after a six-month period, bonuses and health benefits.
