Position
Summary:
The People and Culture Operations Specialist will report to the People and Culture Director and be responsible for administering a variety of employee benefit plans, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and performing payroll functions such as gathering timesheets, benefit accruals, and deduction set up.
Additionally, you will provide guidance to employees and answer questions related to payroll, benefits and policy.
You will collaborate with staff and leaders to help drive forward initiatives that improve team culture and morale and have an emphasis on DE&I principals.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for multi-state and bi-weekly payroll processing Accountable to verify payroll entries including deductions, time and expense, earnings and changes, review and resolve any discrepancies as necessary Manage HRIS system including, but not limited to updating pay rates, employee records, maintaining the ADP homepage and all backend maintenance Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices to maintain compliance.
Responsible for setting up and managing state and local jurisdictions in HRIS system.
Handle employee benefits enrollment, including medical, dental, and vision insurance Monitor employee eligibility for benefits and ensure compliance with applicable laws Process and manage employee leave requests, disability claims and workers compensation claims Liaise with 403b and benefit providers Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll and benefits information Provide support to employees, people leaders with HR related topics including but not limited to Company Policies/Procedures, Time & Attendance/Payroll issues and ADP transactions including reporting, audits and security access Provide assistance with the preparation of reports, budgets, and audits Back-up for People and Culture Talent Specialist Other reasonable duties as assigned by the Director of People and Culture.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field 2
years of experience in payroll and/or benefits administration Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits regulations Ability to handle confidential information Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve Experience with applicant tracking and human resource information systems, ADP desired Effective communication with a variety of audiences and channels Utilizing computer technology used for communication, data gathering and reporting Demonstrated ability to learn new software and support peers in learning Ability to consistently advocate for equity and inclusion while authentically supporting team members from diverse backgrounds Strong passion for our organization's mission and culture Excellent organizational and project management skills Location:
This is a remote position; candidates must have access to secure internet access from which to work.
This is a remote position ideally located in the eastern time zone.
Frequently communicates with individuals by phone, video, and email.

Full-Time position average of 35 hours a week Hourly Rate:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
