SUPERVISORY BORDER PATROL AGENT

This position starts at a salary of $117,191.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $152,352.00 (GS-14, Step 10) with promotion potential to $152,352 (GS-14 Step 10). In this position, you will become a key member of the Law Enforcement Safety and Compliance Directorate team performing the below work assignments:
- Serving as a Training Operations Supervisor within a branch of operations at the Law Enforcement Safety and Compliance Directorate; Communicating policies, procedures, and regulations to subordinate supervisors, instructors, and trainees, to ensure appropriate implementation; - Reviewing current polices to ensure relevance and effectiveness; creating and implementing new policies as necessary while comparing and reporting budget requirements for training programs; - Representing the agency in meetings and negotiations regarding training, with representatives of public and private organizations and with other government officials; and Monitoring of training requirements in order to scheduling and assigning training, special projects, and curriculum development activities to unit personnel. - Serving as a subject matter expert on CBP Use of Force specific case law and guiding doctrine. - Conduct in-depth analysis of project data for accountability related to CBP law enforcement assaults and use of force, requirements, and impact; identify problems areas and determine resolution. Basic Qualification Requirements:
The basic qualification requirements include experience in law enforcement or other responsible work that demonstrates the ability to make arrests and exercise sound judgment in the use of firearms; to deal effectively with individuals or persons in a courteous, tactful manner; and to analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions. AND You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Law enforcement experience providing direction and oversight for Border Patrol related functions within an assigned area. Supervising, managing, or directing operational programs and their appropriate support functions and directing local policy and program initiatives. Language Requirement:
Must be proficient in the Spanish language. (i.e., able to speak and read in Spanish). Firearms Requirement:
You will be required to carry a firearm while on duty. Anyone who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence cannot lawfully possess a firearm or ammunition (Title 18, U.S.C.
