For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination. In addition, they must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse to practice in the state in which the center is located. In addition to meeting the basic requirement, you must also meet one of the following requirements:
Possession of a master's degree in professional nursing; OR At least one full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or above) and possession of a diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in Nursing from a professional nursing program. Professional nursing experience is defined as one or more of the following:
administering emergency care for illnesses, injuries, dental and mental health problems; performing cursory physical examinations which included gathering health histories and checking eyes, ears, nose, lungs, joints, etc., and assisting the physician with complete physical examination; assisting with the administration of medications and treatments, as ordered by the physician, and follow-up care. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
