Program Support Specialist

The major duties of the Talent Program Support Specialist position include, but are not limited to the following:
Assist bureau leads with providing instruction to employees on how to create/edit classes, tests, surveys, and programs; external account approval; training requests; updating supervisory assignments; roster/class session enrollment; course/class registration issues.
Understands the need for the use of correct grammar and overall compliance with correct language standards, and seeks to improve these capabilities.
Provides customer service support through the use of various types of technology to ensure that the customer (NPS employees) are able to utilize the hardware/software associated with DOI Talent in their training needs.
Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
To qualify for this position at the GS-09 grade level, you must possess all of the following minimum qualifications by the close of this announcement:
Experience:
At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors).
This experience must include activities such as; ability to locate and use reference materials to assist IT system end users; Knowledge of policies, methods and principals in support of the learning management system; and Recognizes and analyze issues and to apply techniques and processes to procedural problems.
OR EDUCATION:
Successful completion of at leastMaster's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.

Experience:
At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sectors).

Effectively interact and deal with the public, employees and the organization's program office;The ability to locate and use reference materials to assist system end users and troubleshoot end users issues; and Extensive knowledge and a robust understanding of the organization's learning management systems standards and concepts, user account management processes.
OR EDUCATION:
Successful completion of a Ph.
D.
or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.

One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week.
Part-time hours are prorated.
You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as varies.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
