Supervisory Housing Management Specialist

This position starts at a salary of $102,663.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $133,465.00 (GS-13, Step 10) with promotion potential to $133,465 (GS-13, Step 10). In this Supervisory Housing Management Specialist position, you will strengthen the Department's ability to protect the homeland by becoming a valuable member of a team professionals. Your job will include duties such as:
Directing, implementing, coordinating and overseeing a variety of hospitality services in the daily execution of Lodging & Conference Center (LCC) duties; Serving as a Branch Chief and principal point of contact regarding the daily operations of the LCC to include developing policies, standard operating procedures, administrative processes and establishing and maintaining a positive guest culture; Supervising staff and directing/adjusting operations to meet priorities or changing programs or production requirements; Managing, controlling and coordinating the complex objectives of the program to accomplish the mission; and Utilizing and maintaining hotel and conference scheduling system to meet short and long range plans and priorities.
Experience:
You qualify for the 13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Demonstrating experience applying knowledge of hospitality/hotel management industry Performing administrative planning, scheduling and coordination of work forces and resources pertaining to housing management activities Recommending changes or amendments to improve housing management policies Dealing with visitors at all levels of the federal government and private sector Utilizing and maintaining hotel and conference scheduling system Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process by 03/18/2020. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
